There are 14 provinces and cities that have outbreaks not over 21 days including Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Cao Bang, Hai Duong, Hoa Binh, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Son La, Thai Nguyen, Thanh Hoa, Hai Phong, Vinh Phuc, Quang Ninh, Nghe An.

Cao Bang alone on December 2 continued to have new outbreaks. Influenza outbreaks occurred in 4 communes of 3 districts Hoa An, Tra Linh and Trung Khanh that made 517 chickens and 431 dead ducks. Total poultry culled were 817 ducks and 2,900 chickens. Test results are positive for H5 influenza virus.

Although no new outbreaks occurred, yesterday (4/12) Hai Phong Veterinary Department destroyed 5,308 ducks in 2 districts Thuy Nguyen and Kien Thuy. Bac Giang also destroyed 371,526 birds. The number of poultry destroyed in Hai Duong from November 23 to December 5 was 714,835 poultry, of which nearly 700,000 were ducks.

From October 1 to now, the total number of poultry culled across the country is 2.4 million (including poultry destroyed in the inner city and inner city).
