Quang Ninh: Unusual silk rolls glow at night

A resident on Halong Bay was amazed when a piece of silk rolls bought to be a fish bait for glowing in the night.

Do not believe my eyes, Mr. Do Van Tuan (Cua Van fishing village, Ha Long) called others to see.

When witnessed, everyone was surprised when the pieces of light emitted blue light while it was dark at 1 o'clock at night. Suspected of being coated with a fluorescent layer, the pieces of the rolls were washed and ironed but the rolls were still glowing. Continuing to bring a piece of silk rolls bought elsewhere to compare, this piece of pie is not glowing in the same conditions.

Some people here say that it is possible to have too much phosphorus in excess of the permitted standard or because of a spring infected with a fluorescent bacterium.

Mr. Tuan worried: he used to buy silk rolls and eat them for night fishing but glowing silk rolls are very unusual and doubtful about the quality and food hygiene and safety of this kind of rolls.

On the afternoon of May 22, Mr. Tuan bought 2 ounces of silk from a grocery seller on Cua Van fishing village. When asked, Mr. Nguyen Van Luu, the grocery seller, said he took rolls for retail from a sausage and business booth at Ha Long 1 market (Ha Long City, Quang Ninh).

Through research, every day, this booth sold a few dozen kilograms of spring rolls for about 95,000 VND / kg.

On the morning of May 24, the interdisciplinary inspection team on food safety and hygiene in Ha Long city came to inspect and take samples for testing at this booth and some other sausage and business establishments.
