Rechargeable lamp life of 10 thousand hours

The National University of Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) has unveiled a light-emitting diode (LED) that is light-emitting, light-emitting, daily-life and up to 100,000 hours.

This is the first batch of LED lighting using semiconductor (LED) technology produced by the National Laboratory of Nanotechnology (LNT) in Ho Chi Minh City.

The first batch has 4 models, with symbols: SLL01, SLL02, SLL02 and SLL04.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dang Mau Chien, Director of LNT said at the launching ceremony of solar-powered LED products on the 4 th anniversary of LNT.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dang Mau Chien, different types of LED lights have appeared on the market, mainly in the form of color lights, used as electronic indicators, advertising lights, decorative lights, LED products. LNT produces (from the fabrication of the chip to the final rechargeable luminaire) white light and is widely used for lighting purposes in everyday use.

Specifically, the LEDs produced by LNT have many uses for living indoors, especially in remote areas where there is no electricity grid; used to work in the office; Repair and maintenance of equipment, cars; Use in case of emergency; Outdoor activities: garden, camping, fishing, excursions ...

Compared with the compact type of lamps that are popular in the market today, LEDs have a higher life expectancy, more energy saving and less heat generation when illuminated .

All stages of LED production are in the high-tech sector because of the precision of small-sized units and the need to manufacture thin film semiconductors in a very clean environment to ensure the performance and longevity of the lamp.

" LED manufacturing is one of the strategic directions of LNT to create products for life, serving the state's energy saving program, " Chien said.

LED lights produced by LNT have an estimated cost of 200,000 VND / unit.
