Research team Shanghai Fudan University (China) has built a smart robot that can perform the request of the operator through voice. This robot was introduced at the Shanghai International Industry Fair.
Robot 1m tall, shaped like a human, moving on 2 wheels. It can perform many functions with an electronic screen placed in front of the face and a large touch screen in the chest.
The most important device of this robot is the speech recognition system , which allows the robot to learn the location and will memorize the positions that have been taught, forming an electronic map to be able to use . When the robot is requested to be somewhere, it will search in memory and move to the required location based on the set map. In addition, users can watch TV with the touch screen in front of the robot and control the channel by voice.
Researchers hope the robot will become a friend in families, in particular it can help the elderly in the future.
Fudan University students are driving voice robots at the Shanghai International Expo.
