Russia lent Vietnam 9 billion USD to make nuclear power

Russia agreed to lend Vietnam $ 8-9 billion to build Vietnam's first nuclear power plant in Ninh Thuan, Bloomberg news agency said.

The news agency quoted Mr. Phan Minh Tuan, head of the preparation of investment in nuclear power and renewable energy projects of Vietnam Electricity Group, that the total value of the loan is about 8-9 billion USD, depending on material prices at the time of construction.

According to Tuan, the loan term can be up to 28 years, but he does not disclose information about interest rates applicable to the loan.

The model of Ninh Thuan 1 nuclear power plant was built by Russia.
