Resveratrol in grapes helps prevent lung cancer.

To determine these properties, the researchers conducted an experiment on mice. A group of mice exposed to carcinogens contained in cigarette smoke. The mice were then "treated" with resveratrol.

The participants were divided into four groups: the first control group did not receive both the carcinogen and the resveratrol, the second group received both, the other two received one. substances mentioned above.

Scientists note that previous studies of resveratrol did not indicate its effectiveness in preventing lung cancer. This can be explained by resveratrol being taken into the body by drinking, so that it does not reach the lungs. They then decided to "speed up" the delivery of this substance by nasal passage, and obtained a result confirming the hypothesis of the benefits of resveratrol.

Experimental results showed that, in mice receiving "treatment" , tumor size decreased by an average of 45% compared to mice in other groups.
