Melissa Hughes, an 11-year-old English girl, suffers from an extremely strange disease called butterfly disease. With delicate skin that can tear and bleed if lightly touched, she will have to bear the burden of pain for life, doctors said.

Melissa Hughes has fungal disease and congenital skin blisters. Her skin has completely lost the protective outer epidermis and may flake, crack, bleed if lying down on the bed or lightly touch the cloth.

Every morning, Ms. Gill, Melissa's mother had to spend nearly 3 hours to help her bandage torn wounds while sleeping and slowly wear clothes. The poor girl suffered from constant physical pain when she had about 30 tears and blisters on her every day.

This strange disease is recognized by doctors as a butterfly disease, which rarely occurs in medical history. The patient has the same delicate skin as the texture of the butterfly wing and can easily be damaged only with light cruises.

Recently, under the support of DebRA charity, scientists designed a very soft and light new silk fabric for sewing pillows and clothes for Melissa.

Although she loves Melissa, her parents and younger brother are also unable to express their affection by embracing her, because all the slightest bumps can hurt her.
