However, German engineering company Hoffman and Krippner believes that they have developed a new design, better in alerting and modifying the driver's behavior when there are signs of fatigue and sleepiness.

This technology is based on the fact that the driver who regularly holds the steering wheel puts pressure on it or turns the steering wheel to control. If someone falls asleep, suffers from a heart attack or if he loses consciousness, the pressure will decrease and their hands will move less.

Monitoring devices are a thin strip that is applied to the inside of the rudder, with a weak current flowing through them. When the pressure from the hand impacting the rudder will create short circuits between the layers in the same way that the resistive touch screen works. A microprocessor monitors the intensity, frequency and position, using it to set the driver's standard model when driving. When there are signs of significant deviation from the data standard, the car will give an alarm signal to the driver, trying to get them out of the unfavorable state of drowsiness.

In addition, the steering wheel is programmed with 10 'hotspots' that allow users to touch to activate features such as entertainment or control communication.

According to the Gizmag site, this new monitoring and warning system outperforms the systems that preceded it, which is the new system's ability to be sensitive, overcome the detrimental factors such as dust and sweat. , change the temperature; It works well even when the driver wears gloves.

It is expected that more time is needed to complete and this new warning application will first equip expensive cars and then slowly to common vehicles.
