Software to identify license plates for traffic violations

On December 22, Hanoi Union of Science and Technology Associations organized the introduction of license plate identification software.

This is a research product of Bien Bac Joint Stock Company registered to participate in Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award 2011.

The software can identify both the front and rear, the color of the license plate, even when a motorbike and a car run at a speed of 100km / h or a red light. The software is currently being piloted in Rach Gia city, Kien Giang province, Big C Hai Phong car park, Huu Nghi border gate parking lot, Lang Son .

Compared with some software imported from abroad, which are used in Vietnam, foreign software only recognizes the number plate of the car, cannot recognize the license plate number of motorcycle (motorbike), do not distinguish the color of the number plate. At Phap Van highway junction (Hanoi) and Phu My, the foreign software can only be identified when the vehicle goes at a speed of 30km / h. Some other software only read 4 numbers. Some foreign software only recognizes car license plates.
