The shape of the Vortex is developed by computer technology to ensure that the vortex coils simultaneously throughout the column. In the first version, the trunk was made of fiberglass and carbon fiber compound, allowing it to move as much as possible. The bottom of the column is two opposite rings, acting as a non-electric motor. When the column oscillates in one direction, the magnet pulls it in the opposite direction. This energy is then converted into electricity through an electric knife.

In terms of performance, a Vortex Mini with a height of around 12 m can produce 40% of the wind energy in ideal conditions (when winds reach 42 km / h). According to experimental results, the Vortex Mini gets 30% less power than current wind turbines, but with the same fan-mounted area, we can place two Vortex.

Developers claim that technology is 51 percent less expensive than current technologies due to the lack of gears, bolts or mechanical moving equipment, and lower maintenance costs. In addition, technology has many other advantages such as no noise and safety for birds .

The researchers expect the first product to be a 100W turbine, which will be 2.7m high, to be launched later this year.
