Spectacular aerial battle

An amateur female photographer in Canada captured the moment the eagle dove down on a flying swan.

The trump swan (emitting a trumpet-like cry) flew across the river with the flock without even knowing the eagle chasing it. With wingspan of up to 2 m, the predator " lands " on the swan's back.

But only 5 seconds later the prey escaped the eagle claw and tried to plunge down. Thanks to the dark brown and white fur, it flew towards a tree to hide.

Kelly Munday - a 41-year-old amateur photographer at the Terrace, British Columbia, Canada - was able to press the camera when the eagle attacked.

" The swan flew with its flock. Initially I was just taking pictures of swans, but suddenly an eagle appeared and attacked one. It was a great sight and I was lucky enough to record the war. short, "she said.

In America, bald eagles are considered national symbols. They are the second largest bird of prey in North America and only behind the golden feather eagle (with wingspan of 2.3 m). Bald eagles often eat fish, but they are always ready to catch other animals if given the opportunity.
