Strange object 4m in diameter, 5m high with foreign writing drifted to the coast of Quang Ngai

While collecting scrap, people in Quang Ngai discovered a strange object that looked like a buoy with the words China Buoy drifting ashore, so they reported it to the authorities.

There are many Chinese characters around the strange object.

On the morning of November 28, Pho Quang Border Guard Station (Border Guard of Quang Ngai province) said that the unit had just detained and assigned forces to monitor a strange object resembling a maritime buoy of unknown origin, drifting ashore in Pho An commune (Duc Pho town, Quang Ngai province).

Accordingly, at around 10:00 p.m. on November 26, Mr. To Van Duong (residing in Pho An commune, Duc Pho town) while walking along the beach collecting scrap metal, discovered a strange cylindrical object drifting ashore.

Immediately afterwards, Mr. Duong informed the Pho Quang Border Guard Station. The authorities quickly arrived at the scene. The strange object was painted yellow on the body and metal pole at the top, the bottom was painted dark brown, about 4 meters in diameter, and about 5 meters in total height. Around the object were many Chinese characters and the words China Buoy.

Currently, Pho Quang Border Guard Station has sent forces to stand guard at the location where the strange object was discovered, tie ropes, and anchor it.

According to the initial assessment of the authorities, the drifting object resembles a Lidar buoy , which has the ability to continuously monitor and measure offshore meteorological and hydrographic technical parameters, such as: wind conditions, waves, currents and other environmental factors.
