This method helps activate an ancient DNA, allowing plants to survive and thrive in Japan's cold climatic conditions. Ordinary tropical banana trees can take up to 2 years to grow and export to the market. But with Mongee banana, the time is only about 4 months.

The first Mongee banana shipments have started to open from 11/2017. However, the productivity of this banana is still quite low, only 10 fruits / week. And bananas are only available at Tenmanya Okayama department store in Okayama City.
