Scientists found the 6 billion-year-old star HIP68468, located 300 light-years from Earth, swallowed up some of its planets, UPI reported on December 15. HIP68468 is similar in size, mass, and brightness to the Sun and is called "Sun copy".

HIP68468 contains 4 times the amount of lithium (lithium) normal in stars of the same age. This proves that it has swallowed up some planets in the past. The star also carries more metal than other rock planets.

Studying the connection between the Sun and its planets is an ideal way to learn about the future of our solar system. Scientists predict that in the future, Mercury will be swallowed by the Sun when the star becomes older and swells bigger.

"This does not necessarily mean that the Sun will" eat "the Earth, but our findings provide an indication that this may be a common process in planetary systems, including the system. The Sun, "said Jacob Bean, from the University of Chicago, USA.
