Super yacht-shaped pyramid hovering over the sea
With a pyramid-shaped structure hovering close to the surface of the water, the state-of-the-art luxury superyacht designed by the British engineer promises to bring an experience like a spaceship.
According to Design Boom, the super-cruiser Tetrahedron is designed towards air navigation, making it different from traditional yachts. The yacht can fly floating thanks to a vertical brace attached to a torpedo-shaped body submerged under water.
Graphic images of the yacht designed by British engineer, Jonathan Schwinge, show a spacious sun deck, outdoor dining area, a water play area and a shortened range of steps to the sea. . Made from carbon fiber and double-layer stainless steel, Tetrahedron can carry 6 passengers and 4 crew. This pyramid-shaped yacht is 21.6m long, has 4 sides and 6 sides.
The traveling speed of the yacht is 70km / h above the water surface and the speed of lifting off the water is 27.7km / h.Tetrahedron has a range of up to 3,000 nautical miles. Thanks to the unique design that helps to control the shaking and bobbing, the yacht can run smoothly when it rises, according to Schwinge.
At low speeds, the yacht runs on three protruding columns below the body. When moving at high speed, the pyramid-shaped body is lifted from the water surface by the hydraulic wings rotating on the center column.
"Design came into being with the idea of transforming the shape, structure and thrust of the modern yacht into a closed environment with a flight mode on the water" , Schwinge shared.
According to Schwinge, yachts can travel over long distances due to reduced drag when the body is above the water surface and the waves cannot hit the yacht side in stormy conditions.
