Sweden: Fly... by plane to work, saving 88% of the time

Specifically, Tomasz Patan flew a Jetson One personal jet from his home to a company facility in the province of Pisa, Tuscany region, Italy.

The Jetson company introduces this as 'the world's first trip to work by electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL)' , and claims that this reduces commute time by up to 88%. This plane does not fly over densely populated areas, but only flies over wide lawns and deserted roads.

Jetson One is a vertical take-off and landing vehicle with 8 propellers, equipped with a seat and protective frame, with a carrying capacity of about 100 kg. The aircraft's lithium-ion battery is enough for a 20-minute trip at speeds up to 102 km/h. Besides, Jetson One has some automatic functions. When the pilot is not in control, the aircraft will still hover in place or find somewhere to land if the battery is low. This vehicle is worth about $70,000.

'On May 21, after months of rigorous testing, the team at Jetson company completed their first working trip using eVTOL. People have been eagerly waiting for the Jetson One to arrive at its Santa Maria a Monte facility in Tuscany,' said San Sunner, Jetson's Head of Communications.

Reportedly, the Jetson company was founded by Peter Ternström and Tomasz Patan in 2017. According to an announcement from Jetson, all vehicles produced in 2022 have sold out and the company is currently taking orders for 2023.
