The paradox happens when a lion leaps into the stream to catch the antelope, but is then chased by the prey itself.
Photographer Paul Goldstein captured this scene in Kenya's Masai Mara National Park. An antelope came down the stream to drink water despite the presence of the three female lions nearby. Perhaps the antelope knew the lion was afraid of water, so it would not attack.
But the hunger and hunger made a lion dose. It approached the edge of the water.
Another one jumps on the land near the shore.
But only a few dozen seconds later, Paul Goldstein saw the lion run backwards while the antelope chased behind. The antelope, which has a body size of only a third of a lion, is very angry.
The antelope proved very determined when chasing the opponent.
