The goose is flying upside down but still trying to keep its head from being rotated.

Brian MacFarlane was surprised when he looked at the photo he took at Strumpshaw, Norfolk in the east of England.

MacFarlane simply captures a scene where a goose is struggling with strong winds and does not think he will catch this rare moment.

'Strong winds have made it difficult for flying birds. Some of them are very good at controlling their flight paths, but there are also those that are turned upside down , ' MacFarlane said.

'Looking closely at the photo, I realized that the goose was flying back but still tried to keep its head from being rotated. It is very ingenious'.

Paul Stancliffe, from the British Bird Research Organization, said: 'In 36 years of bird watching, I have seen this scene many times, especially when observing the pink-footed geese flying to the north coast of Norfolk at sunset.

However, I have never seen a photograph that captured that scene. This is really an amazing picture , ' added Mr. Stancilffe.
