Collisions between aircraft and birds often lead to catastrophic consequences. This is a very serious problem of the aviation industry and has not been able to find a solution so far. Researchers from the French National Center for Scientific Research and the University of Rennes, France have conducted more than 300 trials on locked-up predatory birds to determine which illusions can trigger dodging behavior. them.

After a series of experiments, they finally found a special mirage in the form of concentric black circles on a white background. The team claims that this illusion will make the birds think that they are about to collide with something and stay away from danger. In order to find this kind of illusion, they carefully studied the sight of birds of prey.

The study was actually tested at Lourdes-Tarbes-Pyrenées airport. The airport is adjacent to the hunter's hawk's hunting ground, hawks and is where many birds fly back and forth.

However, after the scientists installed two LED screens with concentric circles on a white background displayed throughout the day, the birds almost disappeared from here. Instead, they fly to places where the screen cannot be observed.

Most importantly, the bird did not realize this was just an illusion but continued to "avoid" the LED screen for 5 weeks. So it can be temporarily believed that this is a long-term solution.
