On December 18, HCM City National University officially opened the Nano Technology Laboratory with a total investment of 4.5 million USD. ' This is the largest and most modern laboratory in Vietnam currently operating in the field of Micro Nano science and technology ' - Professor-Academician Nguyen Van Hieu, a leading professor of Vietnamese physics.

The Laboratory will operate under three main tasks, including: scientific research, material development and Micro Nano technology; deploying applications, implementing science and technology services on Micro Nano materials and technology: training, serving training and training of scientific staff - technicians in the field of materials and Micro technology Nano.

Recently, the laboratory has established international cooperation with 13 schools, institutes, research centers in Micro Nano field of countries such as the United States, France, Netherlands, Switzerland, Korea, Singapore. .
