The majestic beauty and 'scary' of the river was drained

Photographer Paul Harmon arrived in the low-lying plains of the Murray-Darling basin in New South Wales, Australia. At this river, water is an extremely valuable resource, it has 'nurtured' agriculture for thousands of years.

But with overexploitation, this river is running out. The creative images of the author convey a message of the mother's majestic beauty and the terrible effects of excessive human demand.

A series of photos by Paul Harmon introduces the landscape of northwestern New South Wales. Each photo was assembled from about 120 different photos, which were shot by unmanned aircraft from a height of 2 to 3 km.

This photo has revealed the 'bad side' of agriculture, the construction of artificial dams to support the raising of livestock affecting the natural environment.

The picture was taken along the plains of the Murray-Darling basin.Talk about human dependence on water.

The land photographed includes many traditional areas of Aboriginal Wayilwan, Euahlayi, Ngemba and Barkandji.

For tens of thousands of years, rivers have provided food and spiritual life to indigenous people living along two river banks.

Agriculture is planned and shaped on the river delta.

The photo was taken in Barkandji. 'Majestic and fearful', the river has been drained for the past 6 years.
