A snake catcher has received a call from a resident saying that there is an extremely dangerous creature up to 4 meters long lurking underneath a sewer pipe near Krabi, located in the south of Thailand, after more than more than 4 meters. After an hour of searching, their son found it.

This expert had to venture inside the sewer to pull this creature out of hiding. It turned out to be a huge king cobra (Scientific name is Ophiophagus hannah ) - the longest venomous snake in the world (can be up to 7m long).

The water inside the drain made the job even more difficult as it was difficult for the snake catcher to hold onto the king cobra's tail. He lost his hand and had to go into the sewer again to catch the extremely venomous snake.

This snake weighs up to 15kg and according to employees of the Krabi Pitak Pracha force - an organization of snake catchers, this is the largest snake the group has caught this year. The expert who directly caught snakes also shared:

'This task was really difficult because the space was small and there was a lot of water, I couldn't see the snake clearly so I could only trust my instincts. If the snake becomes agitated, I won't be able to escape'.

'I'm very confident in my experience, though, and know I can catch the snake'. The snake was released into a forest far from human settlements, and the king cobra has been listed as endangered on the IUCN Red List since 2010.
