The mother dolphin killed her newborn baby because she didn't want her to be imprisoned
The baby dolphin died 4 days after giving birth with scratches on the body that many people suspected it could be killed by their mother.
Lulu, the dolphin living in Nagoya Aquarium, Japan may be the culprit who killed the baby dolphin because he did not want it to live in captivity for a lifetime, Dodo reported on October 6.
Lulu is one of many wild dolphins who once lived in Taiji Bay, where annual dolphin hunting takes place in Japan. However, instead of being slaughtered, it was taken to Nagoya Aquarium to breed and perform as a live display.

The aquarium informs Lulu to give birth to her first child on September 24. However, the baby dolphin died only 4 days later. Published photos show that there are many scratches on the dolphin's body. Many people believe that this is the wound caused by Lulu's mother herself.
The exact cause of the death of the young dolphin has not been determined. However, Laura Bridgeman, from the International Project for the Protection of Mammals in the Sea, thinks that captivity is the cause of Lulu killing her child . This is an act of showing compassion towards the dolphin because Lulu knows what it is about to go through.
"The aquarium park management board explained that it was because Lulu first became a mother, did not know how to take care of her child, but that argument was very suspicious. Her violent actions were more likely to stem from psychological trauma. Due to being separated from their homosexuals, seeing each child killed, then being taken out of their habitat permanently, in addition, it could be because Lulu doesn't want her child to suffer pain and suffering when being imprisoned, "Laura explained.
