The new technique involves detecting and locating stones with a ureter endoscope before using a laser to spread stones . Next, two catheters placed in the kidney will lead to the fine gravel that has spread out of the two kidneys.

According to Dr. Somani, this technique has been conducted in 22 patients with kidney stones, with a success rate of up to 92%. More than three-quarters of them were discharged on the same day and the incidence of complications was also very small compared to patients treated with two separate episodes.

Not only save time and cost with high safety, two kidney kidney stone techniques also help patients reduce pain feeling, risk of infection and shorten healing time.
