Because no one had ever set this record before, Guinness only asked the person to set the first record to use 100 light bulbs. According to the Guinness guidelines, each flash light must be connected to a single camera device and all lights must be switched on at the same time, while shooting.
Groupp and his team of photographers decided to take all the light bulbs onto four large boards, each with a width of 1.21 meters and a height of 2.43 meters. Each board has a 75-hole drill to install 75 corresponding bulbs.
The record set also attaches a radio signal transmitter to the panels, enabling the light bulbs to light up at the same time when the camera shoots.
The record event was sponsored by two sponsors, the Midwest Photography Exchange Organization and the Radiopopper Radio Station of the United States. The total cost of more than 80,000 dollars, divided each panel lamp costs more than 20,000 dollars.
The picture was taken shortly after sunset at the National Freedom Metro Center, downtown Cincinnati. The picture shows Jason and his photography team sitting and standing around 300 light bulbs. Immediately after the record was set, 300 lights were turned off within 1 / 6,000 seconds.
