The tail is nearly half a meter long, and the cat Cygnus is listed in the Guinness record

The cat Cygnus of Lauren and Will Powers duo in Ferndale, Michigan, USA was named in the Guinness Book of Records for owning the longest tail of cats.

According to the Oddicentral newspaper, the cat Cygnus has 44.66cm long tail to buttocks in June 2016.

The owner of the cat said that the cat's tail has continued to grow since then. The most recent measure of the cat tail Cygnus is 46.73cm.

People often call Cygnus a pet name "feather broom" or "cotton door" because his tail is very long and soft.

Lauren and Will Powers shared that Cygnus only needed to walk over and swing his tail as if it was being cleaned by the tail that had brushed off the dust.

However, sometimes a long, long tail also causes many problems. Once closed, Cygnus's owner must be very careful when the tail is not stuck in the door.

Each time the cat lies, the tail part is too long to be easily dipped into water, nearby food and drinks.

Cygnus's brother, the cat named Arcturus, also enrolled in the Guinness Book of Records as the world's tallest cat. Arcturus is about 50cm high and weighs about 14kg.
