1. Taj Mahal in Agra, India: This is a great tomb paved with white marble, built between 1632-1653 at the order of the Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan, to commemorate his beloved wife. Dear. The tomb is rectangular with a hexagonal dome above the ceiling, decorated externally with symmetrical stars. 6. Jahangir's Tomb in Lahore, Pakistan: This is a tomb built by the son of Emperor Jahangir, who ruled the Mughal dynasty from 1605-1627 after Jahangir died. The tomb is located in a garden surrounded by high walls and has four 30m-high towers. Inside the mausoleum is a white marble coffin, surrounded by floral mosaics.

Tomb of Castel Sant'Angelo in Rome, Italy: Tomb of Hadrian, commonly known as Castel Sant'Angelo, is a towering cylindrical building, originally built as a resting place of Roman emperor Hadrian and his family. A year after his death in 138, the ashes of Emperor Hadrian and Queen Sabina and her adopted son were placed there. The outer dome is covered with white marble while the rest of the tomb is built of red sandstone.
