The young star is like the early Sun

CoRoT satellite recently observed a star similar to the Sun at the age of about 500 million years, called CoRoTExo-2a. This star is paralleled by a giant planet orbiting it with a cycle of 1.7 days, discovered by the team outside the solar system CoRoT.
A study of the inner transformation of this star has been done by another international research group. Directing this team is the astronomers of the Italian National Institute of Astrophysics (INAF) at the Celestial Physics Observatory Catania with the support of the Italian Space Agency (ASI)
With high photometric accuracy and continuous observation time, CoRoT has for the first time identified the inner changes of the star and watched it for more than 150 days. D This data shows a flux change of about 6%, 20 times the current sun, with a modulation cycle of 4.5 days. They are made from the same temperature zones as the sun, but have a wider area, and continue to grow as the star rotates.

CoRoT's observation revealed an unexpected phenomenon, the low temperature range fluctuating with a 29-day cycle. On the Sun, these cycles last 150 days and are observed close to the 11-year main cycle. They are associated with variations in the frequency and intensity of solar fire. The energy radiation of solar fire directly impacts the planets. The shorter cycle observed on CoRoT-Exo-2a may be due to the faster rotation speed or the impact of the giant planet nearby, orbiting the star at a distance of 4.2 million kilometers, meaning only about 3% of the distance between the Sun and the Earth.
Our Sun, in an evolutionary phase similar to CoRoT-Exo-2a, illuminates the Earth. That is the time when processes leading to the emergence of life begin. The appearance of magnetic activity from the Sun at that time and its illumination affect these processes. Studying stars similar to the Sun with CoRoT satellites and other space or ground devices will enhance our understanding of the effects of stars on planets during development important. In the case of CoRoTExo-2a, other interesting results in the future are waiting to determine the impact of the giant planet on the star's magnetic field activity.
CoRoT satellite is a space ship operated by the French space agency CNES in cooperation with the Austrian, Belgian, Brazilian, German, Spanish and European Space Agency (RSSD and scientific program with the participation of Italy). )
