Japanese drone development company - ALI Technologies has officially introduced a very unique product of its company at the Fuji Speedway, which is a "flying car" called Xturismo Limited Edition. This is a completely new vehicle, called "hoverbike", with an interesting design that combines the look of a jet ski and the propellers of a drone.

Developed since 2017, Xturismo looks very sleek, sporty and personable. Xturismo's design can be said to be far ahead of human imagination. ALI Technologies is a new technology company but also has a "cheeky number" in Japan as its customers are famous companies such as Mitsubishi, Yanmar and Kyocera.

The specifications listed on Xturismo's official website are basic, but this exciting single-seater "flying car" is still getting a lot of attention. The power of the car is provided by 2 engines: a conventional internal combustion engine and an electric motor. The main frame of the car is designed quite trendy and is made of carbon fiber. Below are 2 giant propellers surrounded by protective shells arranged at the front and rear, while each corner has another small propeller.

On the ground, the car rests on two sliders, the rider steps up horizontally similar to a motorcycle. This hoverbike has dimensions of 3.7 x 2.4 x 1.5 m (L x Width x Height) and an unladen weight of 300kg, it can carry 1 person weighing up to 100kg, has a maximum flight time of 40 minutes and a high speed. The maximum is 100 km/h.

There have been several concept hoverbikes like Malloy Aeronautics, Kalashnikov, Hoversurf. but this Xturismo from ALI Technologies is one of the most popular flying cars among consumers. The Xturismo is now up for order with delivery expected in the first half of 2022.

The Xturismo Limited Edition will have a production run of just 200 units and cost 77.7 million yen (about $680,000). It is currently unclear whether this hoverbike will be sold in markets outside of Japan. Buyers will currently only be able to use it on the Fuji Speedway used for the test flight, as regulations in Japan still prohibit vehicles like this from flying over public roads. However, ALI Technologies recently cooperated with Yamanashi Prefecture to develop more air traffic, so there is sure to be a big change in the near future.
