Many people believe that great things come from big inventions, using a lot of researcher's effort. Even so, products that have a great influence on human life sometimes come from the simplest things.

For example, the "hippopotamus" below, the container is integrated to become a wheel to help African people to bring water without difficulty.

These buckets will be transported over long distances before reaching home.

These buckets will be transported over long distances before reaching home. People who work in water intake are mostly women as well as children. Research shows that 26% of the time in the life of an African rural woman is devoted to carrying water.

That is not to mention the dangers they may encounter, water is easy to pour out, evaporate due to the hot weather of the African region. Even women who are sick and pregnant still have to implement the above method because according to custom, it is the responsibility of the woman, the responsibility to bring water to the family.

After a long period of taking water, the process of putting water on the head makes older women in Africa suffer from many diseases related to vertebrae. These diseases will then torture them because of the pain, they do not have other solutions due to poverty but still have to give water to their families every day.

And then, everything changed when two South African engineers released the "hippo" water pitcher, a vase with integrated handle with cylindrical container so that users could pull or push this water bottle back no trouble.

20 different countries around the world benefit from this simple container.

Although the number of "hippopotamus" containers supplied to people is still just like salt lost due to the number of people who need large water, the traditional way of taking water still affects many people. However, with a simple design and a piece of handle, the hippopotamus vase helped the lives of tens of thousands of households.

Women now do not need to move much, not to put water on their heads. They have more time to spend on important tasks, taking care of the family.

Children are more beneficiaries of this vase when they can start school, health is improving due to avoiding the impact with 20kg of water on the head, dozens of times a day.

With only a very small idea, it changed lives, improved the quality of life for many people, a small idea that could change the world.
