(Photo: HTV) According to a spokesman for ChukotKa district, the researchers plan to observe lakes and currents around the Meinypilhuino region.

Their goal is to study Cretaceous fossil flora and ancient climates in Asia, as well as track traces of dinosaurs and other vertebrate animals. Their traces were first discovered in this area in 1988.

Dr. Pascal Godefroit of the Department of Paleontology of the Royal Institute of Natural Sciences will join the survey team. A famous expert in Cretaceous dinosaurs in Asia, he participated in a survey team in Siberia and Far East organized by the Russian Academy.
