According to Times of India , the results of a survey of 1,423 egg donors at 60 clinics in 11 European countries conducted by the European Society for Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) indicated that the majority of Egg donors are interested in helping couples who are inferior due to altruism, but a sizable proportion also does it for money.
The survey also showed the impact of age on egg donation: 79% of donors over 35 years old said altruism was the motivation for them to donate eggs compared to 46% of those under 25; with the donation of eggs for financial reasons, the proportion of donors under 25 and over 35 is 12% and 1%, respectively.
Egg donation is a solution for a woman to provide one or more eggs (usually 10-15) to help women not have natural babies like other women. This donated egg will be fertilized in vitro with the husband's sperm and then transferred that embryo to the infertile woman's womb to produce babies.
