Two mass graves have been excavated in Greece

Recently, two mass graves have been excavated in the Falirikon Delta region of southern Athens, containing up to 80 remains. The strange thing is that the hands and feet of these remains are tied. These remains are dated between 675 and 650 BC.

Judging in more detail, archaeologists believe that these corpses may be the remains of young soldiers, Cylon followers, and nobles who once won the Olympic title.

According to two ancient historians Herodotus and Thucydides, Cylon conducted a coup to overthrow Athens in the 7th century BC. Unfortunately for Cylon, while he thought he would become a great dictator, the people of Athens did not trust him. Finally the coup failed.

When the tombs were discovered, archaeologists found skeletons lined up on each other. Some skeletons are in a tummy posture, others lie on their backs. Of the 80 remains, 36 died in a hand-tied posture. The teeth of corpses are still in good condition, indicating that before they die, they are young and healthy young people.
