If the production of small investment only needs at least 300m 2 of land and 500 million VND, it is possible to produce building bricks suitable for rural and mountainous areas, replacing the kilns of handmade terracotta tiles which are currently polluting. environment.

Dr. Vu Duy Thoai said that the process of producing this type of bricks is very simple, from agricultural residues such as rice straw, small crushed grass, then mixed with fly ash as a waste product of thermal power plant and then mixed with water and cement in a certain proportion to form a mixture and be put into the mold, under the effect of the compressive force they will be pressed, then bring and expose within a week to be used like a normal brick.

Due to the construction of agricultural residues, the proportion of these bricks is lighter than that of terracotta bricks, three times the bending of other bricks, suitable for construction for high-rise buildings or construction. houses in remote areas with bad terrain difficult to transport materials.

In addition, the compressive strength after thermal shock is increased by 10 cycles, proving that the life of the bricks is very high and these bricks completely use normal sand cement mortar such as clay brick mortar so it is very convenient for traditional plastering.

In particular, the cost of making this type of brick is only equal to 60% of baked products sold in the market.

According to statistics, with the current construction speed, if using fired bricks from the land, Vietnam will lose 30,000 ha of agricultural land for each year, equivalent to losing a commune.

Utilizing agricultural waste products not only saves mineral resources, but also brings economic benefits, improves the environment, but also brings jobs to farmers at leisure.

Every year, Vietnam's agricultural sector generates hundreds of thousands of tons of waste products, which is considered a valuable resource. However, due to the limitations of science and technology, this resource is being wasted or misused, this not only causes waste but also pollutes the environment. The widespread burning of straw after each harvest is a typical example of this inadequacy.
