This aircraft can emerge as a helicopter and fly in the sky like a bird to avoid obstacles for the purpose of delivering to the buyer.
Three Cyriel Notteboom students, Menno Hochstenbach and Maarten Verbandt designed and built VertiKUL as part of their masters thesis.
VertiKUL takes off and landed by four rotating fan blades, which can carry 1kg of cargo. Guided by GPS, the aircraft can reach the destination quickly and operate with battery power is quite energy efficient, the range of operation is about 30km.
When flying to the destination, VertiKUL will switch over to suspension, then the LED system on the plane will radiate round the mark where it will lower the delivery.
Gizmag said that while the license is still in operation, the three practitioners continue to improve so that VertiKUL can operate in a variety of weather environments.
