The University of Southern California has designed a robot that can crawl like a solid, bend in a wheel, walk like normal legs and run like a tank.
Called SuperBot, the robot is designed to adapt to all terrains and is flexible enough to operate in unpredictable environments.
" Today you want to dig, tomorrow you want to transport things, the next day you want to explore the deep south pole moon, our SuperBot can do all these things, " said deputy. Professor Wei-Min Shen - taking part in the study - proudly said.
Scientists hope in the future, SuperBot will make a space on the shuttle to climb the moon and Mars.
