According to the Telegraph, the tunnel is located at a depth of more than 100m. It was sealed 1,800 years ago and belongs to Teotihuacan, a pre-Colombo city in Mexico.

Ancient objects were found to include many parts of animal bones, ceramics, tree seeds . Sergio Gomez, the head of the excavation project, said his group also found three small rooms that could contain many other important research information. Sacrificing objects near the entrance of the area indicate that this may be a burial mausoleum of some important figures of the ancient city during this period.
Unlike the pre-Colombo monuments in Mexico, archaeologists have never found any trace of those who once ruled the city of Teotihuacan. The above findings can help them answer this question.
