Video: Boeing 787 material has larger windows than normal aircraft

Thanks to the advances in material technology, Boeing's manufacturers are able to produce larger aircraft windows that remain safe.

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is the latest Boeing passenger aircraft. It owns the largest glass window type compared to the same model aircraft. Manufacturers have taken many measures to do this, according to Popular Mechanic.

The plane window should be made of round shape , avoiding clear angles such as squares. This reduces the concentration of pressure in the area surrounding the window, avoiding the possibility of tearing the fuselage out of great pressure. Previously, aircraft had to shrink the size of the window to reduce the pressure area on the body.

Materials also helped Boeing to increase the size of passenger windows. The Boeing 787's body is made of high-strength carbon fiber, which is much better than the conventional aluminum alloy plate. It helped the Dreamliner withstand greater pressure for longer periods of time than its predecessors.
