Video: Catch the biggest cod in the world

After an unsuccessful fishing day in the Norwegian Sea, Michael Eisele from Germany, returning to the port with his friends, suddenly caught fish. The power of the prey was so strong that Eisele fell into the boat and the two friends had to hold him back so as not to be dragged into the water.

After 30 minutes of wrestling, three people in the group pulled a big cod that has never been seen. This fish broke the previous record in 1969, when a fisherman in New Hampshire (USA) caught its "brother" , weighing 44.3kg.

This fish Eisele caught the fish off the island of Soroya (Norway) about 16km. He decided to donate this fish to the Norwegian Aquatic Museum.

It is known that in 2012, also on this island, Mr. Morten Hvam also caught a 1.5m long cod, weighing 42kg and was recorded as the heaviest cod ever caught in European waters at that time.
