Water of Lam river is high, many houses are flooded
Along the dike line 42 (Ta Lam dike) from Do Luong district to Vinh City (Nghe An) in the past few days due to heavy rain from the upstream, there was severe flooding.
Flooding in the past days occurred in the area of Nghe An, causing many villages to worry about landslides, many villages have to relocate urgently . Meanwhile, rain has fallen but the water from the upstream is too big. has caused downstream flooding. Hundreds of households from the districts of Anh Son, Do Luong, Thanh Chuong, Nam Dan, Hung Nguyen and Vinh City have been living in the scene of rising flood waters flooding their houses.
Mr. Nguyen Van Dong, from Hung Linh commune, Hung Nguyen district, said: 'Our relatives who lived outside the dyke for 42 years always have to worry about the rainy season because the water of Lam river is too high. June 2011 has suffered 2 times of flooding, all of the hamlets 1, 2 and 3 of Hung Linh commune have been isolated by the flood of Lam river rising from 1-2m, there is only way rowing to go out to buy food, or take children to school . ".
Along the dyke line 42, many villages with hundreds of households were flooded by the Lam River, causing flooding, traffic separation and travel difficulties, and especially hundreds of students here were absent from school.
