Smecta® drugs work to treat acute and chronic diarrhea.
Usual dosage for adults: You use 3 packets of medicine divided into 2-3 doses daily, each time you use, you mix the medicine with ½ cup of water. When you have acute diarrhea, you can take a double dose daily at the start of treatment.
The dose of Smecta® for children:
- In children over 2 years of age: You give children 2-3 packs of medicine every day.
- In children 1-2 years: Give your child 1-2 packs of medicine every day.
- In children under 1 year: You give your child 1 pack of medicine every day.
You can mix the medicine with about 50ml of water for children to use or mix the medicine with liquid foods such as broth, soft fruit, mashed vegetables, children's food.
