If you notice, you will see that on the F and J keys of the computer keyboard there is a horizontal line. Why is that?
On the F and J keys, there is a horizontal line.
Not accidentally but on these keys there is such a horizontal line. In fact, the lines on the F and J keys are designed to help users place the right finger in the position of the keys, without looking down at the keyboard.
Only these two keys have lines because to type the correct keys without looking at the keyboard, our two index fingers will be placed on these F and J keys. And the next fingers of both hands will order the next key press. Two thumbs will fit into the space bar section. Who designed this miraculous lane? That was June E Botich .
She created this line to speed up typing and increase the accuracy of keystrokes for users. Botich was from Naples, Florida (USA), and she applied for a patent for this "small" creation in April 2002.
