Windows Live Messenger Beta 1 is released
Microsoft has released a limited trial version of its online instant messaging system and will announce it in the next few weeks. The new program, equipped with some important features, is intended to replace MSN Messenger.
In particular, Windows Live Messenger allows users to make PC-to-phone calls (from computer to mobile or fixed). Software giant America introduced this service to compete with Yahoo and Skype. Google is also preparing to integrate similar features in the Google Talk upgrade.
In addition, Windows Live Messenger helps people create folders for online storage, sharing and sharing with others. The system also serves as a handy personal communication management tool.
Windows Live Messenger is only available as an invitation. The list of program functions can be viewed at the Spaces Live Messenger development team blog.
