Yahoo Blog 360 is about to come to life?

The Internet giant will likely make up for its blogging and virtual social networking service Yahoo 360.

" Yahoo 360 may change to 180 degrees, " said Bradley Horowitz, Yahoo's vice president of product strategy at the Web 2.0 Conference in San Francisco. This statement came shortly after an audience questioned him about why Yahoo did not provide a superior blog hosting and management service.

Source: Yahoo 360 ientrymail was launched in March last year, but until now, it is still in beta but not yet able to get pregnant.

As of the end of last September, the leading blogging service in the US is Google Blogger with 21 million visitors. MySpace.com's blog ranked second with 16 million members, while Microsoft's Windows Live Spaces ranked modestly at No. 3 with 9.8 million visitors.

Yahoo 360 dropped to sixth with 5.7 million visitors, behind two much younger firms, Six Apart and Xanga.

Community communication is a key strategy for Yahoo and blogging is an important part of it. So surely Yahoo will invest heavily in the blog in the near future and will become a giant in this district after 5 years.

Solutions that Yahoo can choose include: improving Yahoo 360, strengthening internal projects and possibly through several acquisitions.

When asked about the rumor that Yahoo could merge with a rival like Microsoft, Mr. Bradley just shrugged and said the rumors were so much.

Bradley admits that Google is a tough competitor, but as a business, Yahoo is concerned about all its competitors, both large and small. " New and small companies can also threaten our business as much as Microsoft or Google ," he said.
