The exchange of cards is about to become a story

Picture 1 of @ Business card
Business card exchange ceremony is about to become "old days", because Japan is developing a method to allow data transfer in just one . shaking hands.

Thanks to a matchbox-sized device, which weighs about 50 grams in person, your information (name, title, address, contact phone number, email) will be sent directly to your mobile phone or The PDA of the other person, and vice versa, only needs contact between the two.

Called "RedTacton", this technology is being developed in NTT's Micro Systems integration laboratory. Using the optical electromagnetic sensor, the aforementioned "match box" will search for similar electromagnetic fields emitted by other bodies. When the two sides come into contact with each other (through a handshake for example), the data will follow the transmitted body, of course, with an extremely small current, to the end point as a device like Cellphone or PDA.

The information that comes in comes with the date it was received, just like email, so users will easily remember who this business card is. The work of creating an address book will also become more convenient.

NTT hopes to bring this technology to market within 2 or 3 years, with a very wide application area. For example, it could be embedded inside the vial and would send a message to the cellphone, warning "Don't drink" if you took the wrong medicine. There are many types of brands that cannot be used together, but consumers do not know. A "matchbox" of this type may be the ideal medical advisor.

In addition, RedTacton can also help those who are forgetful. You can unlock the door with just a touch of a fist, so great for those who always lose their keys.
