10 things continue to happen on the body of the dead

Experts still argue about whether there is the afterlife or the life after death.

Experts still argue about whether there is the afterlife or the life after death. However, they all agree on some things that will definitely happen to our bodies after "suffering".

The body is eaten by the enzymes inside itself

Within 3 days after death, the enzymes used during digestion will begin to "eat" you. The bacteria in the stomach will consume the severed body cells due to increased acidity, resulting from the accumulation of CO2.

Skin cells continue to live

Skin cells can continue to survive for days after death. In contrast, brain cells die after only 3 minutes of lack of oxygen. And the muscle cells survived for hours after that.

Hemorrhage (autopsy)

When the heart stops beating and pumping blood, gravity pulls red blood cells down to the lowest part of the body. Coagulated blood causes purple streaks, often referred to as hemorrhage or autopsy. Forensic investigators based on these signs to determine the time of death of the body.

Grease

Some bodies will develop a wax-like layer of soap if exposed to cold soil or water. Grease is a natural preservative, formed by bacteria that breaks down tissues.

Greenish body

The body turns green after death, due to the bacteria in the intestinal wall moving into the skin. It takes about 3 - 4 days for the hemoglobin from the decomposition process to produce green for the body.

Pure liquid

Bodies with the largest blood supply will liquefy, mixed with blood and ooze from the body's holes. When fluid builds up, pressure breaks down the abdominal wall, flooding the body.

Decomposition process

The corpse decomposes in water twice as fast as it is on the ground and is 8 times faster than a buried body. The skin on the bodies left behind in the water will begin to fall out in thick patches.

Zhang bulged

The bacteria in the body create a foul-smelling gas that causes swelling. The abdomen, scrotum, breasts and tongue will swell, while the eyes protrude outward.

Extrusion of pregnancy after death

The accumulation of gases can expel a fetus from the decomposing body of a deceased pregnant woman. This is because they cause the corpse to swell, creating pressure to push the uterus and the child out of the body.

Erection after death

Muscle contraction due to stiffening of the corpse around the scrotum can lead to erectile dysfunction in the male corpse. This phenomenon is often noted in men who die in the hanging posture, because the noose creates pressure on the cerebellum.
