The EVN Telecom side mentioned the band's suffering to be prioritized in 3G licensing. Mr. Nguyen Manh Bang, Director of EVN Telecom, said that because of EVN Telecom's 450 MHz frequency, it is very narrow, so it is limited in customer development. Meanwhile, this band is being heavily interfered, thus affecting the quality of service provided to customers. Therefore, Mr. Nguyen Manh Bang said that 3G is a "gateway" for EVN Telecom to step into the mobile market and solve the current difficulties of the 450 MHz network. Therefore, Mr. Bang also proposed to give priority to the 3G band to solve the bandwidth problem for EVN Telecom.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Lang, Chairman of Hanoi Telecom's Board of Directors, said that until now, HT Mobile network has covered in 64 provinces and cities, but the coverage is not deep and evenly spread across the provinces. Currently HT Mobile network has started to provide some 3G services in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City with CDMA 2000 1x EVDO coverage. Do not worry about the number of 3G licenses
