Mekong Delta: temporarily controlling the epidemic

One day (November 23), there are no new localities where outbreaks are taking place outside the 16 provinces and cities that are currently translating, but there are 17 new epidemic points in four northern provinces (Thanh Hoa, Bac Ninh and Quang Ninh). and Thai Nguyen).

Thanh Hoa is the most: seven new translation points in seven communes of six districts and towns; Quang Ninh has six points in six communes in two districts; Thai Nguyen has three more points in three communes and wards of Song Cong town and Thai Nguyen city; Bac Ninh has one more point in Thuan Thanh district.

A patient infected with H5N1 is cured

According to Prof. Hoang Thuy Long, deputy head of the National Steering Committee for Pandemic Influenza Prevention in People, the Ministry of Health: patients infected with H5N1 VVH (15 years old, Tien Lang District, Hai Phong) had negative H5N1 results. after being tested again.

Patients with VVH start disease on November 14 with symptoms: cough, fever is not high (over 38OC), there are signs of coinciding with bird flu. The family members of H. said that H. had contact with sick and dead poultry. On November 16, H. was admitted to Viet Tiep Hospital (Hai Phong), then transferred to the National Pediatric Hospital. Samples of H. sent to the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology and November 19 gave positive results for H5N1.

Prof. Hoang Thuy Long said that H.'s health is progressing well and is being followed up at the National Pediatric Hospital.
