Starting in 2006, Adobe will follow Microsoft and Apple in the strategy to issue a monthly security bulletin to better improve software quality.

Currently, Adobe only issues a patch when the software has problems, and the time between these fixes is not short. In 2006, the company will update the patch by month, but Adobe has not revealed much about the plan.

Reportedly, Microsoft made a monthly error correction cycle two years ago, and Apple a year ago. Of course, if compared to the number of vulnerabilities, surely Apple cannot compare to Microsoft. Although in principle, Microsoft has issued a fix for months, but its software is not so secure.

In the past few months, both Macromedia and Adobe have security warnings about its products. Macromedia, for example, has done a couple of bug fixes on Flash software two weeks ago; and Adobe patched a critical flaw in Reader and Acrobat products in late August.

It is known that Adobe bought Macromedia a little while ago and now the two corporations have merged into one.
