Application laser treatment of retinal cancer
Dr. Tran Thi Phuong Thu - director of HCMC Eye Hospital - said that BV has successfully applied the treatment of eye preservation in patients with Indirect Diode 810nn laser double-blind retinal cancer after following up from 1-5 years.
So far, six babies have been successfully treated. This is also a new treatment technique for the first time in Vietnam.
According to Dr. Phuong Thu, retinoblastoma is a malignant endothelial tumor commonly seen in children under 5 years old. This is the fourth most common disease in children at HCMC Cancer Hospital. In Vietnam, the treatment is mainly to remove the eyes, coordinate the whole body chemicals to prevent metastasis affecting the lives of children.
